NAMI Family-to-Family

The NAMI Family-to-Family program is a free, evidence-based, eight-week educational course for family, friends, and significant others of individuals with mental health conditions, taught by trained family members with lived experience. It offers vital information on mental illnesses, treatment options, coping strategies, problem-solving, communication, and self-care, providing mutual support and hope while empowering caregivers to navigate the journey of recovery alongside their loved ones.

NAMI Basics

NAMI Basics is a 6-session education program for parents, caregivers and other family who provide care for youth (ages 18 and younger) who are experiencing mental health symptoms. This program is free to participants, 99% of whom say they would recommend the program to others.

The course is taught by a trained team with lived experience raising a child with a mental health condition. They know what you’re going through because they've been there, too.

NAMI Family Support Group

NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences.

NAMI’s support groups are unique because they follow a structured model, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to be heard and to get what they need.

NAMI Provider

NAMI Provider

This staff development program is for healthcare providers, administrative staff, operational staff and students working directly with people affected by mental illness. It’s an experience that equips participants with a deeper understanding of mental illness and the confidence to serve individuals and families in a collaborative manner.

Each of the NAMI Provider program’s three instructors live locally and have direct experience with mental illness. It’s led by an individual living well in recovery, a family member and a mental health professional with lived experience.

NAMI Provider is offered as a 15-hour program spread over five sessions or in a four-hour seminar.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-session educational program by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for adults living with mental health conditions, designed to help them understand their illness and recovery through shared experiences, coping skills (like stress reduction, goal setting), and learning to partner with providers, all led by trained peers with lived experience in a confidential, accepting space.

NAMI Connections

NAMI Connection is a free, peer-led support group from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) (NAMI) for adults (18+) living with mental health conditions, offering a safe, confidential space to share experiences, build community, develop coping skills, and find hope through structured, non-judgmental discussions led by others with lived experience. These groups, available in-person and virtually, focus on empathy, understanding, and fostering a sense of belonging, separate from medical advice, and help members see the individual first, not the illness.
