Why We Walk
NAMI Montana is dedicated to improving the lives of Montanans living with serious mental illness and their families. When you walk and fundraise, you are directly supporting:
Local Support: Proceeds are shared with local affiliates in Helena, Kalispell, Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Havre, Missoula, and Southwest Montana.
Free Education: Programs like NAMI Family-to-Family and NAMI Connection support groups help individuals and families find hope and healing.
Statewide Advocacy: We work at local, state, and federal levels to improve the treatment system so more Montanans get the right care at the right time.
Stigma Reduction: Public events like NAMIWalks are our largest tool for fighting stigma and promoting compassion.
