Can you take three or four minutes to leave a phone message in support of two essential bills that NAMI Montana has been working on for the past few months.

  • HB 912 - Rep. Steven Kelly - Establish a forensic mental health facility in Eastern Montana

  • HB 949 - Rep. Mary Caferro - Require the state of Montana to create a fee structure and rules for community commitments.


You can call (406) 444-3064 and leave a message for up to five Senators. We recommend leaving messages for five Senators that either in your community or close to your community.


The message could be as simple as the following:


“My name is ____________. I am from ____________. I’d like to leave a message for Senator __________, Senator __________, Senator __________, Senator __________, and Senator __________. Please vote yes for HB 912 and HB 949. These bills are critical to rebuilding our state’s mental health treatment system.”

The TransMontana charity snowmobile ride, a cornerstone event organized by the Montana Snowmobile Association for NAMI Montana's veteran and youth mental health initiatives, marked its tenth year with resilience. Despite the cancellation of the ride due to insufficient snow, the community's spirit remained undeterred. A banquet in Butte replaced the ride, celebrating the enduring support and commitment of the riders, donors, and volunteers. Notably, no participant requested a refund, showcasing the deep dedication to the cause. The event raised vital funds for NAMI Montana's work with youth and veterans, highlighting the power of a committed community to drive change and support mental health care in Montana.
