We amplify the voices of those affected by mental health conditions, championing policy reforms at the state capitol and in local communities to improve the lives of all Montanans affected with mental health conditions and their families.

For over a decade, the Trans-Montana Charity Ride has been a powerful force for mental health in the Treasure State. Organized by the Montana Snowmobile Association, this week-long backcountry adventure has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide a lifeline for our neighbors struggling with mental illness. From the trails of West Yellowstone to the peaks of Helena, these riders are doing more than just touring—they are fueling NAMI Montana's most critical missions for veterans and youth.
The impact of this partnership is truly historic. These funds have helped shape national veterans' policy—including the landmark Hannon Act and the Cleland-Dole Act —while bringing world-class suicide prevention programs like Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) to over 30 Montana schools. Whether through legislative advocacy for precision brain health or early intervention for students, the Trans-Montana Ride is changing what is possible for mental health in Montana.
