Thank You

Thank You

Thank you for an unbelievable year. It was a year that came with serious difficulties, but through your support we were able to further our mission on improving the lives of Montanans who live with mental health conditions and their families through support, education and advocacy.

Our generous donors and partners helped:

  • Hundreds of Montanans attend NAMI support and education groups in eleven communities around the state and online.

  • The Youth Aware of Mental Health program be delivered to school around Montana through our partnership with MSU's Center for Research on Rural Education.

  • The NAMI Montana office answer calls of help from Montanans from around the state in need of guidance in navigating through mental health care or the legal system.

  • Critical legislation pass Congress that will transition the federal Veterans Administration away from a funding structure that doesn't support innovative mental care. (Sections 107 and 109)

  • The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services improve access to cutting-edge transcranial magnetic stimulation care for Americans on Medicare.

  • Deliver an amazing Conference in Great Falls that both helped share critical mental health and substance abuse care updates, while also helped get input from Montanans on their experiences in the mental health care system.

  • Introduce the Precision Brain Health Research Act of 2024 with Senators Jerry Moran of Kansas and Angus King of Maine.  Building on the Precision Brain Health Initiative from the Commander John Scott Hannon Mental Health Care Improvement Act, the new legislation mandates that the VA develop a ten-year research plan to assess repetitive low-level blast injuries injuries’ effects on veterans and how to be improve their care.

We had some amazing year-end donations come in over the past few weeks.  This powerful show of your support means so much to us to move into next year.  We've got a lot of work ahead, including a legislative session.  We're thankful to all our supporters and allies.

We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful New Year.

Thanks again!
